Account Manager West Coast

Job Summary:

Responsible for assistance in maintaining and building the territory’s advertising clientele. Upsell, maintain, and service existing accounts primarily through telephone/email and joint meetings with AEs.  Develop strong client relationships, work with AEs to manage the pre-sale, execution, and post-sale aspects of our client relationships.

  • Create and/or review sales reports, campaign reports and forecasts. Build and review RFP proposals and make preliminary recommendations. Coordinate daily with Sales team regarding territory strategy and execution plan on pending, upcoming, live, and future campaigns
  • Account Manager Roles and Responsibilities Include:
  • Maintain and manage a portfolio of accounts and develop strong client relationships
  • Work directly with Advertisers, Agencies of Record, and media buyers to ensure campaign delivery and client success and revenue growth
  • Provide Directors, AEs with campaign status updates, suggestions, optimizations, and rationale
  • Prospect and qualify new business opportunities and secure incremental revenue and/or upsell campaigns via client retention
  • Create and review sales reports, campaign reports, and build and interpret forecasts
  • Build and review RFP submissions and make preliminary recommendations
  • Attend weekly meetings with entire Sales & Business Development team
  • Attend morning meeting with Regional Director, AEs, and Ops
  • Participate in internal brainstorms and ideation for new and current clients
  • Assist in growing territory/account revenue to meet and exceed revenue goals
  • Work closely with Business Development and Ad Operations to ensure campaigns are structured to exceed client KPIs
  • Develop strong client relationships & work with AE’s to manage the post sale aspects of them
  • Help secure strategic level relationships with client contacts within the account list/territory region
  • Coordinate with Ad Ops in resolving territory maintenance issues & implement advertiser tracking solutions

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • A minimum of 2+ years experience in digital sales in customer facing roles at an agency, publisher, or network  (AE or AM)
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fluid, extremely fast paced, revenue and deadline driven environment
  • Ability to multitask and stay highly organized while doing so
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, mastery of Excel, pivot tables. Keynote & Photoshop skills are a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of digital media and online advertising including digital advertising, brand advertising, and performance marketing 
  • Extensive knowledge of media buying and programmatic media executions
  • Intellectual curiosity, strong attention to detail
  • Extensive knowledge of A/B testing and performance optimization 
  • Working knowledge of sales process, negotiation, upselling, and securing incremental revenue
